Symptoms may come on quickly or take years to develop. No cure exists. Medications may slow down scarring and help preserve lung function. WebbMine also started after a cold. My breathing is about 70 to 80 percent better than back in March when I went to the ER. My hoarseness/throat clearing is about 25% better. I went to a local Pulmonologist in NP and ENT (in Camarillo). Like you no steroids and inhailers worked. I also did breathing tests/respirometry studies and they came back fine.
